  • The Hindu’s site, which is India’s oldest newspaper website, is fully responsive, adapting seamlessly to different devices and screen sizes.
  • It is designed by Itu Chaudhuri.
  • The website’s navigation and information architecture is designed to help readers easily and intuitively access content.
  • The www.thequint.com and www.ndtv.com won the silver and bronze in this category.
  • Sportstarlive.com won the silver award in the Best in Lifestyle, Sports or Entertainment Website category.
  • Entries in these two categories were evaluated based on criteria such as strong content quality, consistency in user experience, innovative design, use of multimedia and ease of navigation.
  • The gold award in the Best Innovation to Engage Youth Audiences category went to Youngworldclub.com, it is The Hindu’s Group’s learning portal for children.
  • The evaluation in this category was based on effectiveness in engaging youth audiences, especially children and teenagers.
  • This year, the winners of South Asian Digital Media Awards were chosen from nine categories — best news website, best in lifestyle, sports or entertainment website, best digital advertising campaign, best use of online video, best data visualisation, best news mobile service, best lifestyle, sports or entertainment mobile services, best innovation new product, best in social media engagement, and best innovation to engage youth audiences.
